James Buchanan Eads

Captain James Buchanan Eads was a worldrenowned American civil engineer and inventor, holding more than 50 patents.

Eads was born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and named for his mothers cousin, future President of the United States James Buchanan. He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri.
